焊管是燃氣管道中的常見管材，直徑大於426mm（或508mm）的（de）焊管（guǎn）一般被稱為（wéi）大口徑焊管，按（àn）照焊接成管方式，可分為螺旋焊管和直（zhí）縫焊管兩種。螺旋焊管是（shì）將低碳碳素結構鋼或低合金結構鋼鋼帶（dài）按一定的螺旋線的角度（又叫成型角）卷成管坯，然後將管縫焊接起來製（zhì）成，它（tā）可（kě）以用較窄的帶鋼生產（chǎn）大（dà）直徑的鋼管。螺旋焊管主要是螺旋埋弧焊管（SSAW），在我國廣（guǎng）泛用（yòng）於各種（zhǒng）燃氣管道（dào）的（de）建設，其（qí）規格用外徑*壁厚表示。螺旋焊（hàn）管有單（dān）麵焊的和雙麵焊的，焊管應保（bǎo）證水（shuǐ）壓試（shì）驗、焊縫的（de）抗拉強度和冷彎性能要符合規定。

The billet edge melted by high frequency current is called high frequency straight seam welded pipe (ERW), and the tube edge melted by arc is called straight seam submerged arc welded pipe (LSAW).
直縫焊管主要原料是低碳鋼熱軋板（bǎn）卷、熱軋帶，在石油、冶金、建築（zhù）、煤礦、港口、機械等行（háng）業廣泛用於石油天然氣輸送、低壓水（shuǐ）煤氣輸送、礦用流體輸送、帶式輸送機托（tuō）輥、汽車傳動軸等等。
